September is here and so it marked Zoe’s 10 month birthday. It happened to fall on the 9th anniversary of World Trade Center attacks, which is always a hard time for the country, but especially for us New Yorkers. Rob and I spent our first night away from Zoe the night before and we stayed in the city. Waking up in NYC on Sept. 11th was odd. The weather was very much like it was 9 years ago and while we were out walking to breakfast and the flower district, fire engines and ambulances went racing by, sirens blaring and I couldn’t help but feel really uncomfortable. I was already missing my baby and that made me want to get home even faster.
Zoe was pretty tired and almost ready for a nap, but we gathered her, a few cute dresses and accessories and 2 awesome chairs and did a quick session in the yard. She was having so much fun standing and playing with her dress:
I love those cheeks and could kiss them forever:
Zoe is obsessed with textures and details and she was fascinated with the buttons on her dress. i really wish I knew what was going through her mind:
My favorite little face in the entire world:
Quick wardrobe and chair change:
One of Zoe’s favorite things to do: stand, holding onto to something, and reach down for something:
And another is to look. People have been commenting since she’s been about 4 months old about how alert and observant she is. Can’t argue with that! She loves to look around things. Here I think she was playing with a leaf and dropped it on the seat. Its so freaking cute:
